Ready for the modern workplace The Department works to turn out graduates who are adequately prepared to face the challenges of the modern workplace, in the sectors of the economy its alumni already occupy in Ghana and across Africa.

Sought after by graduate schools Its degrees are built so that graduates will be sought after by graduate schools here and abroad, and the Department supervises its own students through to MPhil and PhD.

Two disciplines, taught side by side English Language and Linguistics and Literature in English are taught and examined as full streams in their own right, each with its own MA, MPhil and PhD.
